Through Facebook, I found out my friend’s sister is involved in this very cool emerging clothing and design website. I thought this top is absolutely gorgeous and am dying to get my hands on it! It was hard to pick a favorite to feature here, amongst other things I loved another sailor top and a birdcage skirt. At any rate, check it out for some cool pieces that would look great this fall!

Radical Designer Bio: Erica Weiner
In her small tenement apartment on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, Erica made her first pieces of jewelry. These were meant to be her creative outlet after an unsatisfying workday at a fashion industry job, but her designs got a lot of attention from friends and colleagues. Erica joined forces with Lindsay Salmon, who shared a love of precious heirlooms, and launched a line of unique pieces with a sense of history that people could wear to work, to the bar, to the beach, without worrying about losing an irreplaceable treasure. Together they travel the world finding interesting objects to transform into wearable pieces. They continue to develop jewelry that’s attractive, unusual, playful, and innovative. All of their jewelry is assembled in NYC, and they offset 300% of their carbon output through www.carbonfund.org.

Radical Designer Bio: Ace & Jig
Ace & Jig is Cary Vaughan and Jenna Wilson. A main drive behind Ace & Jig was to find clarity. They wanted to create a seasonless woman’s collection from their own yarn-dye woven fabric, effortless clothes where the fabric could speak for itself. Their search led them to India where they found their ideal manufacturer, textile specialists for over twenty-five years with an ancient hand loom on site where Cary and Jenna can work with the weavers one on one. Equally important, they share the same morals and values while practicing the holistic kaizen philosophy of continuing to improve. Not only do they provide free childcare, they also use reclaimed water to grow organic produce for their employees.
(Lemon Caftan dress can be bought here)
Editor’s note: The fabric is so soft, you guys. You’ve never felt anything like it, trust.
